Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Satellite Communications Network Specialist to join our team at Isys Technologies. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our satellite communications networks.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network events and element management failures in real-time on a 24x7x365 basis.
  • Perform IP network support, including configuration of routers, switches, firewalls, and voice equipment.
  • Configure and troubleshoot IP satellite modems, including the creation and distribution of option, boot, and RSP files.
  • Remotely access and de-access customers into the IP/SATCOM networks.
  • Collaborate with DoD SATCOM Gateway facilities and deployed operators to resolve SATCOM and IP network issues.
  • Verify equipment is operating within the baseline configuration.
  • Remotely provide global equipment configurations at DoD SATCOM Gateways using the Satellite Access Authorization (SAA) and Gateway Access Authorization (GAA).
Requirements
  • Must have a DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE, or equivalent) at start date.
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 operations environment.
  • Moderate experience with one or more of the following: utilization of SAA/GAAs as a source documentation for network configuration.
  • Moderate understanding and experience with the operation and configuration of MILSATCOM encryption devices.
  • Moderate understanding and experience with Satellite Communications (SATCOM) architecture and signal flow.
  • Currently possess an active Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to manage IP over SATCOM networks using iDirect/Linkway/EBEM or equivalent FM-TDMA hubs.
  • High school diploma and 1-4 years of experience.

  • Active Secret security clearance.
