Maintenance Mechanic V Job Description

As a Maintenance Mechanic V with Lenoir County Government, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to supervise skilled workers in a general maintenance setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance staff to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
  • Assist in planning, budgeting, and setting work standards to ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Train and develop maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Perform assigned tasks independently and as part of a team.
  • Report to work for inclement weather and as other needs arise within the department.

Requirements:

  • 21 years of age
  • Possess a valid North Carolina Driver License
  • May require certification by the Environmental Protection Agency
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Pass a Criminal Background Check; Subject to random drug testing
