Position Overview

This full-time, on-site position as a Laboratory Operations Manager involves overseeing the daily functions of the laboratory. The Laboratory Operations Manager will collaborate closely with the Lab Manager to ensure safety protocols are followed, manage laboratory equipment, conduct quality assurance, and supervise operational management. Regular meetings with staff and senior management will be held to address workload and technical challenges. In this role, the Laboratory Operations Manager will lead a team of engineers and lab technicians to develop, implement, and enhance engineering processes, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. This position demands strong leadership capabilities, technical knowledge, and effective communication skills with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operational lab team, ensuring adherence to best practice procedures.
  • Communicate essential processes and objectives to team members.
  • Provide training and mentorship to ensure a thorough understanding of assigned tasks, offering constructive feedback for improvement.
  • Manage laboratory workload to guarantee efficient and timely completion of all tasks.
  • Adjust operations as necessary to accommodate varying workloads.
  • Ensure laboratory operations and systems comply with industry standards and are executed to a high level of quality.
  • Contribute to and uphold ISO standards and documented procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability in reporting.
  • Offer guidance and support to the lab team regarding work methods, equipment usage, and techniques.
  • Health and Safety – ensure all laboratory personnel are aware of identified hazards and understand the importance of adhering to safety standards and procedures.
  • Staff Management – responsible for the daily supervision of laboratory staff.
