Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Laboratory Analyst to join our dynamic team at Compunnel, Inc. This role is essential for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of laboratory processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and process samples from veterinary patients.
  • Operate advanced laboratory equipment with high throughput capabilities.
  • Conduct microscopy tasks, including urinalysis, hematology, and parasite identification.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to address challenges and meet operational demands.
  • Utilize Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and integrate with various technologies.
  • Maintain a well-organized and clean laboratory environment.
  • Ensure the safe disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Manage and stock laboratory supplies and inventory efficiently.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments.
  • Adhere strictly to safety and quality assurance protocols.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and participate in training programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or veterinary laboratory environment.
  • Proficiency in hematology, coagulation, chemistry, immunoassay, and urinalysis.
  • Experience with systems such as Siemens Advia, Siemens Immulite, Beckman AU, or Novus.
  • Strong IT skills and familiarity with computer systems like LIS or LIMS.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Robust organizational and time management capabilities.
