Compensation and Position Overview
  • Annual salary starting at $47,360, commensurate with experience; exempt position.
  • Full-time commitment of 40 hours per week.
  • Flexibility in work location may be considered, ideally within the western region of the state.
Role Objective

This role is designed to engage directly with the QSP Hub, offering essential support to Qualified Service Providers and associated stakeholders throughout the state.

The position is situated within the Center for Rural Health at the School of Medicine & Health Sciences. Further details about the department can be accessed through their official channels.

This role is funded through a contractual agreement with the North Dakota Department of Health & Human Services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the coordination and delivery of resource facilitation services to Qualified Service Providers.
    • Engage professionally with government entities, organizations, and individuals through various communication channels.
    • Address incoming inquiries and program-related questions via established communication methods.
    • Consult with individuals to discern their concerns and the services they require.
    • Plan and deliver technical assistance to direct care providers, home health organizations, family caregivers, and individuals managing their own care.
    • Conduct follow-ups to ensure that provided services and supports align with established goals and objectives.
    • Maintain program records and track data in accordance with reporting requirements.
  • Conduct community outreach and promote program initiatives.
    • Collaborate with program staff to organize outreach efforts, including local, regional, and statewide events.
    • Ensure that Qualified Service Providers, Case Managers, and other stakeholders are informed about available services.
    • Identify regional resources and address any service gaps or barriers.
    • Build and sustain relationships with various facilities, organizations, and agencies to enhance program referrals.
  • Support program development and enhancement.
    • Provide content for program-related materials, including websites, newsletters, and workshops.
    • Participate in all program and staff meetings to ensure alignment among team members.
    • Engage in professional development opportunities.
    • Assist in the development of program initiatives.
    • Compile periodic reports as requested by the Program Director.
    • Represent the program at various professional gatherings as necessary.
    • Undertake additional related duties or special projects as assigned.
Essential Competencies
  • Understanding of North Dakota's social service, human services, or healthcare systems.
  • Ability to connect individuals with resources and empower organizations.
  • Proficient in typing, proofreading, editing, and formatting documents.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Experience in facilitating meetings and participating in group discussions.
  • High level of computer proficiency, including troubleshooting IT issues.
  • Skilled in utilizing the internet and search engines effectively.
  • Experience in organizing and tracking program activities.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and self-motivation.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to produce timely work products.
  • Capacity to prioritize tasks, multitask, and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Willingness to travel for national, regional, or local events.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in human services or a related behavioral health field, with a preference for Social Work, Psychology, or Sociology.
  • Two years of relevant experience in home health, social services, or working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with videoconferencing tools such as Zoom or WebEx.
  • Successful completion of a criminal history records check.

  • Experience within North Dakota's social service, human services, or healthcare sectors.
  • Proven ability in organizing, tracking, and composing programmatic reports.
  • Knowledge of home and community-based service systems and Medicaid.
  • Experience in providing telephonic support and technical assistance.
  • Experience in facilitating meetings and delivering presentations.
  • Experience working with diverse populations.
  • Relevant licensure, registration, or certification as required by law.
