Purchasing Manager

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a seasoned Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement efforts in Santa Maria, California.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to drive cost reductions and improve supply chain efficiency.
- Lead a team of purchasing personnel to achieve corporate goals and optimize performance.
- Negotiate contracts with strategic suppliers to drive purchase price variance savings.
- Align purchasing organization with Strategic Sourcing initiatives to drive spend consolidation and cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and guidelines through expertise in P.O and contractual Terms & Conditions.
- Collaborate with Supplier Development team to drive P.O on-time delivery, quality, and productivity.
- Establish and oversee purchasing department training to ensure policies and procedures are followed.
- Develop and track performance goals for purchasing personnel.
- Analyze and report data to drive operational excellence and supply chain improvements.
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
- 10 years of experience in a production environment.
- Proficient in Windows Operating System, Office XP, and AutoCAD.
- Solid understanding of Production Planning and Production Scheduling best practices.
- LN knowledge desired.
- CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) certification preferred.
