Work Environment: Involves prolonged computer use, standing for inventory counts, moving boxes, and organizing stock.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and adhere to safe work practices and procedures.
- Comply with all relevant USDA, CACFP, and SFSP policies and procedures.
- Conduct daily inventory checks of food stock, monitoring expiration dates and prioritizing items that expire first.
- Submit daily food quantity requirements, weekly meal needs, and current inventory levels.
- Collaborate with the Food Program Manager to determine the appropriate food quantities required.
- Complete and submit all necessary documentation to branch staff accurately.
- Maintain effective communication with the Program Director and Food Program Manager regarding operational issues and changes in food distribution.
- Develop and implement new food programs and distribution initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to the correct menu and maintain an updated menu on-site.
- Ensure accurate attendance and record-keeping for CACFP and SFSP, submitting all documentation punctually.
- Oversee the daily operations of the on-site food pantry, including inventory management, paperwork completion, and timely report submissions.
- Follow uniform and personal hygiene standards.
- Embrace and demonstrate the core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
- ServSafe certification preferred.
- Certifications required within 45 days of hire: CPR/AED, BBP, and First Aid.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage personnel effectively.
- Proficient computer skills and experience with standard business software.
- Able to relate effectively to diverse groups from various social and economic backgrounds.
- A clear criminal background check is required for this position.

During the School Year:
Monday - Thursday: 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM
Friday: 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM AND 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
During the Summer:
Monday - Thursday: 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Friday: 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM AND 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
Occasional Saturdays may be required during both seasons.
