Spartan Placements LLC is seeking a highly skilled Audit Associate to join our team. As an accounting professional at our CPA firm, you will play a key role in planning, overseeing, and directing a compliant and accurate auditing process. You will communicate with clients, including governmental entities, public housing authorities, and other organizations, to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process. You will perform a variety of complex tasks utilizing client records and other pertinent material, including supervising the daily activities of the audit engagement and identifying areas of risk in assigned engagements requiring additional attention. You will also supervise and coach junior and staff auditors, as well as review their work for accuracy and compliance. Your expertise in risk management and compliance will be essential in ensuring that our firm and clients meet the highest standards of quality and integrity. If you have a strong understanding of auditing standards and accounting principles, and are proficient in current accounting software and Microsoft Office products, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. **Qualifications:**

* Bachelor's degree in accounting
* Working on or have completed requirements for CPA license
* Understand principles, practices, methods, and theories of auditing standards and accounting standards
* Working knowledge of GASB, Yellow-Book, and Uniform Guidance Standards a plus
* Knowledgeable of laws, ordinances, regulations, and statutes which govern audit functions
