Description
Under general supervision, this role is designed to acquire goods and services for the City. Individuals in this position engage in procurement and contracting activities. Responsibilities include managing purchase orders, preparing quotations, developing bid specifications, and overseeing the procurement of supplies and equipment. This role also involves bid analysis and other related procurement tasks.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct competitive bidding processes; prepare bid specifications, facilitate public bid openings, analyze bids, and prepare documentation for approval.
2. Process and maintain Purchase Orders.
3. Address inquiries and requests from various city departments and the public.
4. Participate in procurement meetings.
5. Order, receive, stock, and distribute supplies and materials.
6. Generate periodic reports that document activities such as bid tracking and inventory management.
7. Ensure compliance with City Policy Manuals and Procurement Codes to maintain proper operational standards.
8. Collaborate and negotiate with vendors to secure high-quality goods and services at competitive prices.

Qualifications
A minimum of 60 credits towards an Associate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field; supplemented by at least three (3) years of relevant experience in purchasing, contracts, and inventory management; or a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution with two years of experience in procurement and asset management; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

- Valid Florida Driver's License
