Culinary Event Supervisor

OVERVIEW

The Culinary Event Supervisor at Pendry Park City is accountable for the daily management of the kitchen and serves as the primary leader on a daily basis, overseeing all other culinary staff. This pivotal role is essential in fostering the motivation and efficiency of the culinary events team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Core duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Overseeing and guiding the Culinary Events team
  • Training and developing staff, while enforcing company policies
  • Leading and participating in food preparation for events and banquets
  • Ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation and storage areas in compliance with health regulations
  • Creating weekly kitchen schedules and distributing them promptly
  • Exceeding guest expectations and needs
  • Responding effectively to guest inquiries and delivering exceptional customer service
  • Assisting the Executive Chef with all kitchen operations and food preparation
  • Collaborating with the Executive Chef on food presentation and decorative displays
  • Estimating weekly production requirements and communicating needs to kitchen staff daily
  • Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes for regular service and special events
  • Maintaining standards for purchasing, receiving, and food storage
REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent/Culinary certification, degree, or related training
  • At least three years of supervisory experience in high-quality food and beverage production
  • Basic knowledge of administrative computer systems
  • Strong problem-solving and listening abilities
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a time-sensitive environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Possession of all necessary safety certifications
  • Comprehensive understanding of Public Health regulations
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift. Occasional exposure to cold, heat, and moisture. The individual must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 35 pounds regularly.
