RN Unit Manager

The Registered Nurse Unit Manager is responsible for leading the clinical, operational, and personnel activities of the resident care units at BridgePoint+ Sub-Acute & Rehab National Harborside. This role requires a strong nursing background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to implement and control nursing systems on the unit.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement specific programs to improve patient care and outcomes
- Ensure direct nursing care of residents by nursing personnel
- Assume various management duties on the unit, including acting ADON in the absence of the DON
- Minimum of a 2-year RN - Registered Nurse nursing diploma/associate nursing degree. BSN preferred
- Registered Nurse with a current license in the District of Columbia. CPR required
- Two years experience in geriatric nursing. Participation in professional organizations, dealing primarily in geriatrics preferred
- Minimum of two years nursing administration experience preferred, preferably in a long term care setting
- Knowledge of basic computer skills
