Clinical Counselor Position

Puyallup Tribal Health Authority is seeking a skilled Licensed Mental Health Counselor to provide high-quality, individualized treatment to our growing network of clients. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in expanding access to evidence-based, culturally competent care for Indigenous people in Pierce County.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive clinical assessments and develop measurable treatment plans to meet clients' needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with our support teams to ensure seamless care coordination and referrals.
  • Document client interactions and progress in our HIPAA-compliant electronic health record system.
  • Provide culturally sensitive, client-centered care and maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Human Services or Behavioral Health from an accredited university.
  • Current Washington State Associate license as a Mental Health Counselor, Social Worker, or Marriage and Family Therapist.
  • One year of experience in the behavioral health field providing direct counseling services to individuals, families, and groups.
  • Ability to work with electronic health record systems and maintain good standing with licensing boards.
