Job Summary

The Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services is seeking a skilled Substance Abuse Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our recovery services team, you will provide evidence-based counseling and support to individuals struggling with substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide group and individual counseling sessions to participants in our substance use recovery programs
* Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress of participants
* Engage clients in Medication-Assisted Treatment, Narcan, and community linkage services to foster recovery
* Facilitate two cohorts of treatment programming at a time, with a ratio of 1:15 participants
* Monitor activities of volunteers and oversee support/fellowship meetings

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must hold current certification or credentials in one of the following areas: Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II (LCDC II), Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor III (LCDC III), Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC), or a related field. You must also possess strong counseling and rehabilitation skills, as well as the ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality.
