The Governance Oversight Analyst is a critical role within the Global Program Governance organization, focused on the review, monitoring, and tracking of Project Management governance deliverables within the organization's compliance with governance policies and standards.
  • Leads and supports the governance processes, assessments, and works with governance leads to collect evidence and address observations and escalations.
  • Defines, communicates, and maintains an annual plan of governance reviews for the calendar year and defines the scope of the scheduled reviews.
  • Ensures activities, reporting, and other day-to-day activities follow the governance process control manual and identifies efficiencies in governance processes, templates, and reporting.
  • Assesses compliance with governance policies and standards through periodic governance reviews to ensure compliance and adequacy.
  • Provides expertise and knowledge transfer of advanced-level understanding of Project Management principles to support the governance and oversight framework to governance teams.
  • Interfaces with taskforce leads to provide updates and communicate upcoming activities in governance taskforce meetings.
  • Interfaces with senior project management staff and governance leads regarding reviews and escalations.
  • Identifies, reports, and tracks to closure findings of non-compliance and not fit for purpose as part of governance reviews.
  • Identifies process improvement opportunities and program manages approved enhancements accordingly.
  • Tracks, monitors, and maintains governance trackers.
  • Provides in-depth and sophisticated analyses with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
  • Clear experience in a similar function; adept at leading change, delivering results in a complex environment.
  • Strong organization skills, time management, collaboration, facilitation, negotiation skills, and ability to influence.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain highly detailed records of meetings, reviews, actions, and agreements.
  • 5 years of experience in PM/PMO functions or PM governance functions required.
  • Ability to embrace and navigate the unknowns with positivity.
  • Strong PM knowledge, PMP preferred.
  • Excellent teambuilding and negotiating skills.
  • Excellent command of MS Office Applications.
  • Experience in working in virtual teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Experience in working with Director Level clients and above.
Education:
  • Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Master's degree.
