Senior Accounting Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team at Talent Equity Group. This role will be crucial in overseeing our financial operations, managing acquisition accounting, and leveraging Sage software to ensure accurate and efficient accounting practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Utilize Sage accounting software to manage financial transactions, prepare reports, and streamline accounting processes.
  • Oversee accounting processes related to mergers, acquisitions, and asset purchases, managing due diligence, integration, and post-acquisition accounting to ensure accurate consolidation of financial information.
  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports to senior management, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, analyzing financial performance and providing insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and company policies, implementing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
  • Manage accounting activities for roofing and construction projects, including cost tracking, project budgeting, and revenue recognition, collaborating with project managers to ensure financial accuracy and reporting.
  • Coordinate and liaise with external auditors during financial audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing any audit findings or recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the accounting department, implementing best practices and automation to enhance accounting workflows and reporting accuracy.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with CPA or CMA designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of accounting experience, with a focus on construction or related industries.
  • Proven experience with Sage accounting software and its applications in financial management.
  • Strong background in acquisition accounting, including handling mergers, acquisitions, and asset integration.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a track record of successfully leading accounting teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, with advanced spreadsheet skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
