Virginia Mason Franciscan Health Rehabilitation Hospital is a specialized facility dedicated to the recovery of patients facing challenges such as strokes, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic conditions.

As a Licensed Speech and Language Therapist, your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Implementing effective speech and language therapy techniques
  • Assessing, planning, directing, and delivering treatment for patients referred for speech and language services
  • Engaging in collaborative efforts including performance improvement initiatives, infection control, safety protocols, team discussions, and conferences
  • Educating patients' families and caregivers, as well as collaborating with other members of the interdisciplinary team
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of patient care in compliance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

The compensation for this role is competitive at $50 per hour.

As a Licensed Speech and Language Therapist, you will be required to possess:

  • Valid licensure as a Speech and Language Therapist in Washington State
  • A Master's Degree from an accredited speech and language pathology program
  • A minimum of six months of relevant experience in speech and language pathology is preferred, including completion of a Clinical Fellowship
  • Current Basic Life Support (CPR) certification
  • Excellent organizational, teamwork, and communication abilities
