Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health Rehabilitation Hospital. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in the rehabilitation process of our patients, helping them to regain their communication and swallowing skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders, using evidence-based practices and techniques.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, tailored to each patient's unique needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on communication and swallowing strategies, as well as on the use of assistive devices and technologies.
  • Document patient progress and outcomes, using standardized assessment tools and reporting methods.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Washington.
  • Master's degree from an accredited speech language pathology program.
  • Minimum of six months of experience in speech language pathology, preferably in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.
  • Current Basic Life Support (CBL) certification.
  • Strong organizational, teamwork, and communication skills.
