Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the Defense Personal Property Program's storage program's tenders of service and non-temporary storage contracts.
  • Establish a Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan for commercial facilities and Department of Defense activities.
  • Review Quality Assurance reports for accuracy and consolidate reports into a single narrative report.
  • Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities, including selecting or recommending selection of candidates for vacancies, promotions, details, and reassignments.
  • Provide senior-level transportation specialist assistance and staff-level support to key officials within USTRANSCOM, the Department of Defense, and Industry.
Requirements

To be eligible for this position, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, including experience in planning, organizing, and directing the activities of a Storage Branch to ensure personal property storage processes are met and comply with regulatory requirements.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs and other organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
