About the Role

Promising a brighter future for our patients, we're seeking a dedicated Patient Services Representative to join our team at Promise Healthcare. As a key member of our operations team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring seamless patient experiences and exceptional care delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Clinic Preparation: Participate in daily clinic preparation processes, including patient identification, check-in/out, charge posting, cash management, and appointment scheduling.
  • Provide Exceptional Patient Care: Serve as a role model by conducting yourself in a responsible, professional manner, ensuring patients' needs are met, and providing information to ensure a positive experience.
  • Manage Patient Care Requests: Handle incoming patient care requests related to in-basket activities, referrals, work queue activity, and telephone calls, while maintaining accurate and timely reporting of medical information.
  • Insurance and Authorization: Demonstrate proficiency in insurance coverage rules, initiate and secure prior authorizations as needed, and complete mandatory insurance training and ongoing competency refreshers.
  • Support Multiple Departments: Assist with PSR coverage in multiple departments, obtaining knowledge of each department and scheduling specifics, and travel to multiple departments as needed.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree or Equivalent Experience: Possess an Associate's Degree in a related field or three years of experience in an office/customer service environment as an acceptable substitution.
  • Public Contact Position: Previous experience in a public contact position, with basic computer skills and experience using fax machines, copiers, and other general office equipment.
  • Additional Requirements: Successful completion of a medical terminology course within one year of start date, reliable transportation, and bilingual in Spanish preferred.
