About the Position: We are seeking an experienced State Government Associate to join our team. As a key member of our Legislative Staff Services Program, you will provide critical support to professional staff associations and champion legislative staff throughout the nation. You will work closely with our experts to deliver top-notch research, advocacy, and service, advancing the interests of state legislatures and their staff.

Key Responsibilities: In this role, you will: Provide administrative support to professional staff associations; Conduct research on legislative staff roles and responsibilities; Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the effectiveness of our services; Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver educational programs for legislative staff; Facilitate communication between staff associations and NCSL leadership; Manage complex projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.

Requirements: To succeed in this position, you must have a Bachelor's degree and two years of experience working with state legislatures, government agencies, or other relevant fields. Your exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently will serve you well in this role. Knowledge of state legislative processes and procedures is highly desirable.
