National Account Director Job Description

The National Account Director is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of national accounts in conjunction with on-site General Managers across the United States.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and guide the activities of their management team to achieve sales and revenue growth.
  • Set strategic and tactical direction for each account to drive business results.
  • Develop and implement national account strategies to increase sales and profits through national customers.
  • Create and maintain positive business relationships with Aramark's current and prospective customers.
  • Grow existing annual customer revenues by 20-30% through new product and service offerings, new locations, and price increases.
Account Development:

This individual will be responsible for overall account development, including proposals for expansion to new sites and services provided.

They will also manage both client and Aramark budgets to ensure successful account growth.

Qualifications:
  • Proven leadership experience, typically acquired over 5-10 years, including P&L responsibility within the hospitality, retail, facilities, direct store delivery, or food and beverage industries.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a broad knowledge of management practices, business judgment, and client/consumer interaction.
  • Confirmed ability to hire, assess, develop, and grow hard-working talent.
  • Comfortable reading, understanding, and implementing contractual requirements, including identifying opportunities within contract terms and conditions to address operational issues.
  • Established communication and teamwork skills to work with all levels of the organization from front-line associates to leadership.
  • Excellent financial and business understanding is a must.
  • Bachelor's degree is generally required to be successful; an advanced degree in business or a related field is preferred.
