IT Training Specialist

Yoh, A Day & Zimmermann Company is seeking a highly motivated and self-directed IT Training Specialist to work with their IT Department in Irving, TX.

This position is responsible for creating both written technical documentation and video training on the use of our client's software applications.

The ideal candidate will have experience with technical writing and developing training materials for adult learners.

This position will work with IT implementation specialists and/or subject matter experts to understand learning requirements and will use their expertise to create or update training deliverables.

The successful candidate will have a high degree of comfort using technology and managing multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop technical documentation and video training on software applications
  • Collaborate with IT implementation specialists and subject matter experts
  • Manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Utilize technical writing and instructional design skills to create engaging training materials

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Instructional Design, Business, Information Technology, Education, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in software or technical training development role or technical writing role
  • Demonstrated experience in sequencing processes and organizing complex content
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Camtasia Studio, Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, MadCap Flare, Adobe Robohelp, or similar software
  • Graphic design experience
