Job Overview:

Gravity IT Resources is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Specialist to join our team in Mobile, Alabama. The successful candidate will provide advanced site support for end user-related issues and requests, working in person and remotely to ensure timely and accurate resolutions.

Job Description:

As a key member of our TechOps EUS (End User Services) Team, the Desktop Support Specialist will be responsible for installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading hardware and software related technologies. This includes:

  • Participating in high-performance teams and contributing to team goals and objectives
  • Applying advanced understanding of technology products and services to assist internal users, identify and research end-user questions and problems, and provide appropriate services, repairs, training, and/or follow-up
  • Managing relationships with vendors and managed service providers to ensure tasks are completed on schedule and with accuracy
  • Identifying deficiencies in solutions and working with the appropriate teams to improve
  • Anticipating future technical impacts and proactively implementing solutions

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience or equivalent associate's degree in a related field
  • On-site support experience, including related infrastructure technologies and complete site accountability
  • Self-motivation and a desire to enhance knowledge and continually develop their skillset
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact with other internal departments and external partners to resolve customer issues and accommodate requests
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills at all levels
  • Able to multitask and operate in a fast-paced support break/fix environment
  • Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve customer computer-related issues
  • Ability to work on tasks independently and assess and execute with minimal direction
  • Ability to lift computer equipment
  • Ability to work with and manage vendors and managed service providers

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include a comprehensive health insurance package, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.

Location:

This position is based in Mobile, Alabama, and some travel may be required. The successful candidate will be expected to work in person and remotely to support our clients.
