Position Summary

As a vital member of our maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our production processes. Your responsibilities will include providing maintenance support to meet production goals, ensuring machine and equipment availability, and maintaining operational efficiency. Adhering to standard operating procedures while prioritizing personal and co-worker safety, as well as product quality, will be fundamental to your role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comprehend and diligently follow all departmental standard operating procedures, whether in training or certified as a Maintenance Technician.
  • Engage respectfully with trainers, leads, and supervisors to clarify any uncertainties regarding safe operations or product quality impacts.
  • Ensure that all equipment and machinery are functioning optimally by performing scheduled preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Troubleshoot, adjust, and repair equipment as necessary, collaborating closely with production personnel to address any operational concerns.
  • Adhere to all ISO environmental and safety protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following established cleaning and housekeeping practices.
  • Comply with all safety, environmental, and health regulations, including proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications

  • Preferred: Advanced education such as a 2-year technical degree or relevant certification.
  • Technical training or hands-on experience in electronic or mechanical technology is essential. Proficiency in Allen Bradley, PLC, and factory talk panel view software, as well as Fanuc robot controllers and servos, is required.
  • A minimum of three years of experience performing standard maintenance tasks is necessary.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, heavy materials, and process-driven work environment is advantageous.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentage calculations, are required.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions, manuals, drawings, schematics, and standard operating procedures is essential.
  • Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a forklift operator license is required.
  • Capability to safely use and maintain assigned PPE, including respirators, steel-toed shoes, safety eyewear, and hearing protection.

General Requirements

  • All employees must wear the required PPE properly at all times.
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, is essential.
  • This position may involve exposure to hazardous materials, necessitating periodic health assessments.
  • Work will be conducted in a plant/warehouse environment, with varying conditions expected.
  • Physical requirements include frequent bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally is necessary.
  • Prolonged standing may be required.
