Job Summary

The Markey Cancer Center is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Associate I to join our team. As a key member of our clinical research team, you will be responsible for coordinating and conducting clinical trials, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and conduct clinical trials, including obtaining and abstracting data from patient medical records
  • Maintain and submit reports, forms, and updated records to relevant groups
  • Assist in designing and implementing systems for organizing and controlling workflow related to clinical studies and protocols
  • Coordinate patient flow through clinical studies or protocols, monitoring events and communicating pertinent information to investigators and healthcare professionals
  • Learn and apply Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and standard operating procedures (SOP)
  • Monitor patient safety and well-being
  • Assist investigators with patient identification and recruitment
  • Ensure pre-study and eligibility requirements are met for patients
  • Maintain cooperative and professional relationships with clinical research participants, healthcare professionals, and study sponsors/monitors
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a health-related field
  • 1 or more years of experience with clinical trials, data management, or in a healthcare facility
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Windows, Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • BLS certification, phlebotomy training, ECG training, and EPIC experience preferred
