Braskem, a global leader in sustainable materials, is seeking a motivated Research Associate to join our catalysis team in Lexington, MA. This role will contribute to the discovery and development of catalytic materials for renewable chemicals, driving sustainable development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safe operation: Stay current on all safety training, participate in necessary safety audits, and maintain excellent laboratory housekeeping and standard operating procedures.
  • Synthesizing, characterizing, and evaluating catalysts.
  • Building, operating, and maintaining laboratory equipment.
  • Analyzing, interpreting, and communicating results to team members.
  • Working in a team environment to solve problems.
Requirements:
  • A safety mindset and a drive to deliver quality results in a self-motivated and proactive manner.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, critical judgment in decision-making, and the ability to follow detailed procedures.
  • Experience working in a chemistry laboratory environment.
  • A good understanding of data analysis and familiarity with computer software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • An inquisitive and willing-to-learn attitude, with a growth mindset.
