Position Overview

We aim to build strong relationships within the communities we serve. Currently, we are looking for enthusiastic, detail-oriented individuals to fill our barista/cashier roles.

Available Positions
Full-time & Part-time barista/cashier roles are open at our IGC Coffee Zon Cafes. Shifts are available Monday to Friday, with varying hours.

Closed Weekends & Holidays

The barista is responsible for crafting and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso, tea, and smoothies, ensuring a timely, efficient, and sanitary service. Baristas will educate customers on our beverage offerings, make tailored recommendations, promote special items, and take orders. As a cashier, you will handle cash, debit, and credit transactions using a point-of-sale system, balance the cash drawer, and provide change. Strong customer service skills are essential.

Compensation
Starting pay is up to $16.00 per hour, plus tips. If you thrive in a lively, fast-paced environment, this opportunity is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Arrive in appropriate uniform and maintain grooming standards.
  • Set up workstations according to cafe guidelines.
  • Prepare beverages as directed, ensuring cleanliness and timeliness.
  • Adhere to portion control and presentation standards.
  • Restock items as necessary throughout the shift.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, practicing good safety and sanitation.
  • Understand and properly use all equipment in the station.
  • Provide excellent customer service, greeting customers warmly and processing orders efficiently.
  • Exhibit hospitality, respect, and kindness towards customers and team members.
  • Merchandise products, ensuring quality and presentation.
  • Deliver fast, accurate service through effective communication and teamwork.
  • Promote products and keep customers informed about offerings.
  • Follow cash handling procedures accurately.
  • Assist in financial accountability by correctly processing orders and managing cash.
  • Thank customers and encourage their return.
  • Serve as a role model for customers and staff, aiding in training new baristas/cashiers.
  • Collaborate with team members to support operational standards.
  • Adapt to changes in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and listening skills.
  • Show a passion for hospitality and coffee.
  • Be willing to assist with additional tasks as needed.
  • Prior experience as a barista, cashier, or customer service representative is preferred but not required.
Salary Information
Up to $16.00 per hour, plus tips.
