We take pride in serving exceptional espresso and artisanal coffee beverages crafted from premium beans sourced from Ruby Coffee Roasters in Wisconsin. Our diverse menu also includes a variety of teas and smoothies, all within a warm and inviting atmosphere designed for dedicated individuals.
Your Role:
As a Coffee Specialist, you will be the face of our establishment, delivering outstanding customer service by assisting patrons with their food and beverage choices, presenting menu options, and ensuring a pleasant coffeehouse experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome customers with a friendly demeanor.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of our coffee and food offerings.
- Educate guests about our menu, addressing any inquiries they may have.
- Maintain a tidy workspace and customer area, free from clutter.
- Acquire in-depth coffee knowledge to assist our guests effectively.
- Prepare and serve coffee beverages according to established recipes and techniques.
- Utilize downtime to engage with guests and uphold cleanliness.
- Manage inventory by restocking coffee supplies and maintaining equipment.
- Ensure equipment is functioning properly by adhering to operational guidelines.
- Foster a safe and sanitary work environment by following health and safety standards.
- Process customer payments accurately and efficiently.
- Enhance job knowledge through continuous learning and participation in industry events.
- Arrive on time and in proper uniform for all scheduled shifts.
- Provide a positive experience for customers to encourage return visits.
- Express gratitude to customers for their patronage and invite them to return.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Preferred: One year of experience as a Barista.
- Basic math skills are essential for handling transactions.
- Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
This role requires standing for extended periods, using hands for various tasks, and the ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Candidates must be able to navigate a busy environment while maintaining a focus on customer service.
Work Environment:
The position is primarily indoors, with some seasonal outdoor responsibilities. The work atmosphere can be fast-paced and requires frequent interaction with the public.
Work Authorization:
Authorization to work in the United States is required.
