Job Description:
  We are seeking a skilled and experienced Learning Support Specialist to join our team at Medford School District 549c. As a Learning Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting student success by providing instructional support, supervising students, and maintaining a safe and organized learning environment.

About the Role:
  The primary responsibilities of this role include assisting teachers with instructional activities, preparing assignments and organizing student work, and supervising students during indoor and outdoor activities. You will also be responsible for identifying areas of need and developing strategies to support student success, as well as reporting concerns to school administrators and providing first aid assistance as needed.

Requirements:
  To be successful in this role, you will require an Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or one to two years of related experience and/or training. You will also need strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with teachers, staff, students, and parents. You should be fluent in English and have a basic understanding of mathematics. Computer skills, particularly database software and word processing, are also essential. A paraprofessional certification and first aid certification are preferred but not required.

Additional Information:
  This position requires regular lifting and moving of up to 25 pounds, as well as occasional lifting and moving of up to 75 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Employees may be exposed to blood-borne pathogens and wet or humid weather conditions.
