Key Information:

  • Position: Certified Clinical Assistant (Levels I, II, & III)
  • Compensation: Starting at $19.60/hour, depending on experience
  • Bilingual Compensation: Eligible for a $1.25 per hour increase upon passing the language proficiency assessment.
  • Work Schedule: Full-time; Monday – Friday; flexible shifts between 8 am – 6:30 pm

Your Profile: You are an organized individual with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities. With a sharp attention to detail and a talent for problem-solving, you are a critical thinker and adept at managing multiple tasks. Your goal is to ensure that patients receive outstanding care.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Clinical Assistant from a recognized program (or in the process of obtaining it within 3 months of hire)
  • Current BLS certification
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong observational skills
  • Proficient in critical thinking and problem-solving
  • Strong computer skills (proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Experience in a primary care environment
  • A commitment to assisting clients facing healthcare barriers
  • Familiarity with OCHIN Epic
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations

Your Responsibilities: As a Clinical Assistant, you will be an essential member of our clinical team, ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care. Your responsibilities will include:

Patient Care:

  • Overseeing the complete patient experience, both in our clinic and on our mobile unit
  • Accurately documenting patient history and vital signs in the EMR
  • Providing follow-up instructions and facilitating referrals
  • Assisting healthcare providers during examinations and procedures
  • Collecting and delivering lab specimens with precision
  • Conducting CLIA-waived diagnostic tests and documenting results
  • Administering basic first aid under the supervision of healthcare providers
  • Assisting with immunizations, injections, medication administration, and blood draws
  • Monitoring client prescriptions and ensuring their needs are met
  • Coordinating follow-up appointments
  • Maintaining organized patient files in the EMR

Team Collaboration:

  • Participating in daily team meetings with our dedicated care team
  • Collaborating with our Nursing Manager and Lead Clinical Assistant to manage medications
  • Handling medical office and administrative tasks efficiently
  • Welcoming patients with a friendly demeanor
  • Scheduling appointments seamlessly
  • Providing excellent customer service over the phone
  • Processing referrals and information release forms accurately
  • Engaging in data entry and maintaining high-quality clinic reports
