Position Overview

Join our Float Unit as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Providence Health & Services. This role involves providing essential support in a dynamic healthcare environment, working on a day shift schedule with rotating weekends.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate effectively within a high-performing team.
  • Assist Registered Nurses with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  • Monitor and document vital signs, outputs, and weights accurately.
  • Collect specimens and conduct fingerstick capillary blood tests.
  • Support patient mobility and transfers, utilizing safe handling equipment.
  • Engage in ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Role Summary: The Certified Nursing Assistant delivers non-professional direct patient care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, adhering to established care plans.

Required Qualifications:
  • Completion of a certified Nursing Assistant training program.
  • Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification upon hire.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year of experience in a nursing home or hospital setting.
