Position Overview

Job Summary

Northwest Primary Care is seeking a dedicated Certified Healthcare Assistant for a full-time role at our Family Practice clinic. This position operates on a four-day work week.

Key Responsibilities

The Certified Healthcare Assistant will perform a range of patient care tasks to support Primary Care physicians in delivering exceptional healthcare in an internal medicine clinic environment.

  • Administers general medical assistance to patients as needed, following established protocols.
  • Handles incoming phone inquiries as required.
  • Adheres to the office's HIPAA privacy standards, ensuring the utmost confidentiality.
  • Engages in all mandatory meetings.
  • Completes additional related or unrelated tasks as necessary.

Performance Expectations:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Understanding of medical assistant principles and practices to assess and deliver patient care.
  • Familiarity with organizational policies, regulations, and procedures relevant to patient care administration.
  • Proficiency with medical equipment and instruments used in patient care.
  • Aware of common safety risks and precautions to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Ability to apply and adapt medical assistant techniques for ongoing patient care.
  • Competence in identifying issues and proposing solutions.
  • Skill in assisting with various treatments and medications as directed.
  • Expertise in developing and upholding departmental quality assurance measures.
  • Ability to foster and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical personnel, and the community.
  • Capacity to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Proficient in reading, comprehending, and responding to detailed verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong communication skills with proficiency in language, grammar, and spelling in both verbal and written formats.
  • Basic computer skills, including keyboarding and familiarity with Microsoft Windows.

Certification Requirements:

Certified Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within one year of employment.

CPR certification is also required.

Compensation:

Salary will be commensurate with education, training, and experience.
