Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Washington Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will provide direct care to patients in our Geriatric and Pediatric units.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse;
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and charts;
  • Communicating effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals;
  • Performing clerical duties such as answering phones and entering physician orders;
  • Responding promptly to changes in patient condition or responses to treatment.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must have a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices. They should also be able to commit to enrolling in an RN program within two years of hire date and obtaining RN licensure within five years of hire date.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position requiring rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays. The successful candidate can expect to work approximately 36 hours per week.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience. In addition to a generous compensation package, our benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan.
