Overview:
The primary role of a Talent Acquisition Specialist is to identify, interview, and evaluate candidates to fulfill current and future staffing needs while promoting career opportunities within the organization. This position is crucial for sourcing new talent that aligns with the company’s goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and nurture relationships with hiring managers to understand ongoing and upcoming recruitment needs.
- Conduct searches for qualified candidates based on relevant job criteria using various resources including databases, networking, and referrals.
- Interview candidates to gather information regarding their work history, training, education, and skills.
- Maintain accurate employment records and documentation.
- Communicate with candidates regarding employment opportunities and selection processes.
- Provide information to potential candidates about the organization’s operations, benefits, and career opportunities.
Required Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Understanding of legal policies and procedures related to recruitment and employment.
- Knowledge of recruitment principles and procedures.
- Familiarity with business management principles related to strategic planning.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field is required.
- 2-4 years of experience in customer service or a related area is necessary.
