  • Training and Development: Conduct and facilitate job training for staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with all departments, coordinating work processes and ensuring seamless communication.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with OSHA rules, maintain an effective preventative maintenance program, and keep systems operational by performing repairs and replacements.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of employee work hours and absences, and handle personnel management tasks such as hiring, training, and performance evaluations.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred or 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present and report. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to interpret documents and solve practical problems, with effective communication with USDA, production, and management personnel.
  • Technical Skills: Apply mathematical principles and use computer programs, including MP2. Experience with electrical systems, PLC controls, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and welding/fabrication skills needed.
  • Physical Demands: Frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and handling objects.
  • Work Environment: Requires specific vision abilities and the ability to work in varying temperatures and noise levels.
