NXTPoint Logistics Warehouse Manager Job Description

NXTPoint Logistics is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Manager to join our team. As a key member of our logistics and supply chain team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and supervise warehouse personnel to ensure that all tasks are completed to the highest standard.
  • Attend department meetings to stay informed about business plans and their impact on warehouse operations.
  • Conduct weekly team meetings to discuss goals, objectives, and any issues that may arise.
  • Ensure that local security practices are enforced to prevent theft and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Review scheduling needs and ensure that adequate staffing levels are maintained to meet customer demands.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels, including receiving, storing, and shipping products.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of inventory, including tracking and reporting any discrepancies or issues.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in a warehouse environment, preferably in the transportation, logistics, or related industry.
  • Proven experience in managing employees and leading teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Valid state driver's license required.
Working Conditions:

The Warehouse Manager will work primarily in a climate-controlled environment, with occasional work performed in a non-climate-controlled warehouse or outside environment. The role requires sitting, walking, and standing, with occasional bending and stooping. The ability to lift and stack items weighing up to 30 pounds over head, and lift and stack items weighing up to 65 pounds to chest height and carry them a distance of fifty feet is required. Occasional ability to lift items weighing up to 150 pounds to a height of ten inches is also required. The role requires the use of hands to control or feel objects and will utilize repetitive movements when entering data. The ability to see details of objects within close range is also required.
