Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement facility enhancements and equipment modifications, preparing comprehensive estimates and engineering documentation for significant projects or moderately complex undertakings.
  • Assess utility systems and conduct long-term cost and usage analyses. Coordinate project schedules and liaise with clients, maintenance teams, construction staff, and external contractors.
  • Supervise and validate the work of external contractors to ensure compliance with specifications, construction standards, and timelines; conduct final inspections and recommend payment approvals.
  • Contribute to the facility's operational and capital budget planning.
  • Maintain detailed records of project progress and financials.
  • Assume full accountability for delivering projects within financial constraints.
  • May mentor junior engineers by providing technical guidance.
  • Evaluate equipment requirements, identify suitable solutions, and generate purchase requisitions and approvals for necessary equipment.
Expertise: In-depth understanding of engineering principles, theories, and concepts. Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations, as well as best practices in facility engineering.

Problem-Solving: Develop innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges related to electrical, mechanical, and other facility projects, requiring significant analytical capabilities. Demonstrate sound judgment and resolve challenging issues effectively. Foster collaborative and productive working relationships to achieve project goals.
Work Autonomy: Work is conducted with moderate oversight. Guidance is primarily focused on overarching objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters. Exhibit considerable independence in generating new ideas or methods to enhance job performance or complete assigned tasks. Self-initiated assignments are encouraged.
Project Coordination: Manage resources, prioritize tasks, and set timelines to ensure project completion. Ensure alignment of plans with budgetary constraints and overall team objectives. Demonstrate leadership and a commitment to quality throughout project execution. Communicate project status promptly to relevant stakeholders.
Collaboration: Engage in frequent interactions with internal and external contacts. May represent the organization in discussions with regulatory bodies and public utility authorities concerning construction standards, safety regulations, and environmental compliance. Serve as a technical representative for the department.
Impact on Business: Contributions lead to the successful achievement of project goals or significantly enhance departmental or organizational objectives through the development of new or improved facilities, equipment, materials, processes, and manufacturing methods.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in maintenance engineering, manufacturing, or the Oil & Gas sector.
  • High energy and a strong sense of urgency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Sound business and technical judgment.
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities across various tasks.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary range: $104,000 - $156,973.00

Compensation and benefits may vary based on individual factors, job level, market location, and experience. Salary is just one aspect of the total compensation package at Solar Turbines.
