Principal Civil Engineering Designer

RICK is seeking a highly skilled Principal Civil Engineering Designer to join our team in San Diego, CA. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to work on meaningful, landmark projects in the Southern California region.
About the Role
- Develop grading and public improvement plans from conceptual design to final construction documents to support residential, multi-family / mixed-use and commercial and campus-type development.
- Prepare and process technical studies and site plans to obtain entitlements for land development projects.
- Prepare Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) for public infrastructure improvement plans, such as street, sewer, and storm drain improvement plans.
- Perform site assessment and engineering design studies, incorporating infrastructure requirements and potential regulatory issues.
- Prepare and process regulatory plans.
- Perform constructability reviews.
- Experience with a range of construction support services.
Requirements
- BSCE degree.
- California Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer is preferred but not required.
- Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in land development and/or public works; or the equivalent work experience of eight (8) years in the industry.
- Minimum of two (2) years of supervising the work of engineers, designers, and other project support staff.
