POSITION SUMMARY:

The Retail Service Advisor consistently provides an exceptional customer experience, leveraging consultative skills to foresee customer requirements, propose alternatives, and deliver effective solutions. This service-oriented team member possesses comprehensive knowledge of all facets of the store's operations, including printing, signage, and shipping services. Responsibilities include processing orders, coordinating store activities, delivering pricing and product information, and recommending suitable FedEx Office products and services.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adheres to supervisors' directives and assists fellow team members in executing store functions.
  • Contributes to the training of new store personnel.
Service
  • Exhibits consultative behaviors in a retail setting to comprehend each customer's unique needs.
  • Offers expertise in printing, signage, and shipping product lines, recommending appropriate FedEx Office solutions.
  • Delivers an outstanding customer service experience by utilizing consultative skills to anticipate needs, suggest alternatives, and find solutions.
  • Ensures prompt resolution of customer issues to their satisfaction.
  • Processes complex customer orders through order systems, providing accurate pricing information.
  • Prepares goods for shipping by assembling parcels, weighing packages, and affixing labels.
  • Operates and maintains printing, binding, and related equipment using customer-supplied media and documents.
  • Maintains a safe, clean, and organized retail environment.
Profit
  • Safeguards customer data confidentiality and handles documents, media, and packages with care.
  • Processes financial transactions using a Point of Sale terminal (POS), including cash handling.
  • Maintains and stocks all retail store printing and shipping equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Stays informed on retail merchandising materials and ensures proper display of products and signage.
  • Takes proactive measures to prevent errors and waste.
  • Completes necessary financial documentation and may assist with financial reporting, including daily sales and bank deposits.
  • Adheres to FedEx Office standard operating procedures and complies with legal, HR, safety, customer service, and security policies.
Self-Management
  • Manages multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Seeks opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills within the retail environment.
  • Operates effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Complies with all FedEx Office team member and retail store standards as outlined in the team member handbook.
  • Performs other duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • 6+ months of relevant experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift, excluding meal and rest periods.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 55 pounds.
  • Ability to bend and twist at the waist and knees consistently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members consistently.
  • Ability to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction consistently.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment under pressure consistently.
  • Ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods consistently.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision consistently.
  • Ability to report regularly to work and maintain established business hours to support FedEx Office operations.
