Customer Support Specialist


Program Overview:

This program is designed to equip the Army National Guard (ARNG) with essential guidance, technical expertise, and administrative support to enhance awareness and engagement through various communication channels, while providing call center assistance to support recruiters and boost recruitment efforts.

Location Requirement: Candidates must be residents of Tennessee, specifically in the Greater Nashville Area.

Remote Work: This position is fully remote.


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary contact for ARNG prospects, influencers, and former service members seeking information to aid their decision-making process.
  • Assist in identifying individuals who are inclined to join the service and where they are in their decision-making journey.
  • Facilitate the transition of prospects into confirmed leads.
  • Monitor voicemails through the Contact Telephone System Software during business hours.
  • Respond to inquiries within established timeframes.
  • Manage supervisor-assigned voicemails received outside of business hours.
  • Address complex inquiries across a wide range of topics.

Educational Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Essential Qualifications

  • Current knowledge and the ability to continually learn about ARNG personnel and recruitment policies.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to articulate information clearly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated capability in performing administrative tasks.
  • Self-motivated with effective time management skills.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Capability to interpret and adapt provided reference materials.

Physical Requirements:

Physical requirements are generally characterized as sedentary, involving the exertion of up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

Travel to offsite events may be necessary.

General Office Expectations:

Must be able to operate standard office equipment in a remote work environment, including but not limited to computers, phones, and related media and information devices on most or all workdays.

Ability to communicate and interact with others, both in person and via telephone, to conduct business effectively.

Work under time constraints.

Ability to work assigned shifts between 7 AM and 11 AM daily, excluding federal holidays.

Work efficiently for extended periods to meet deadlines.

Willingness to travel as required and adhere to company travel policies and procedures.

Key Skills and Knowledge:

Expertise in MS Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Capacity to perform under pressure.

Strong reading and comprehension skills.

Proficient in writing and reporting using program-specific templates.

Effective problem-solving abilities.

Commitment to confidentiality.

Experience in customer interaction.
