Job Description

Our client, a leading company in the retail industry, is seeking a skilled Merchandising Operations Analyst to join their team in Plantation, Florida. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert-level support to the Catalog Systems team, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of item-level data across the catalog.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong mix of information systems and merchandising business process knowledge, including data analysis, functional knowledge of catalog and/or ERP systems, and technical knowledge of underlying system data structures and processes. They will be innovative, detail-oriented, driven, and demonstrate a high degree of ownership in all they do.

Key Responsibilities:


• Serve as a subject matter expert, overseeing a specific body of work/process in 1-2 areas, executing work, identifying and eliminating risks, issues, or potential defects, driving process improvements, and developing standard operating procedures.


• Support various initiatives related to the client's Item Master, conducting cross-functional and vendor outreach to identify and apply accurate source data, and identifying automation opportunities.


• Synthesize large quantities of complex data into usable/actionable information.


• Collaborate with technical teams to drive systems improvements and elegant analytical tools.

Requirements:


• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, Finance, or a related field.


• 0-3 years of experience in a business systems or merchandising analytics capacity as a subject-matter expert.


• Background in creating, managing to, and improving metrics (KPI) using quantitative analysis.


• Advanced experience with Microsoft suite products.


• General experience using SQL queries and/or Tableau reports.


• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.


• Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.


• Strong communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills to convey key insights from complex analysis in summarized business terms.


• An entrepreneurial mindset and a driving passion to change, challenge, and improve processes.


• Position may require occasional travel.

Bonus:


• Relevant work experience using Python or R for data analytics.


• Prior experience in Software Quality Processes and Atlassian Tools such as Confluence, JIRA, etc.


• Prior experience with ERP systems.


• Proficient in SQL and/or Tableau.


• E-commerce background is a plus.
