We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist II to join our team at South Dakota Mines. As a Research Scientist II, you will be responsible for conducting independent research in environmental science, water resources, and remediation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research in environmental science, water resources, and remediation using statistical tools to analyze temporal and spatial data.
- Collaborate with state and federal agencies and nongovernmental organizations to advance research goals.
- Mentor junior group members and present research at scientific meetings.
- Prepare scientific publications and contribute to ongoing research projects.
Requirements:
- Master's degree and 1 to 3 years of relevant experience or PhD in biological sciences or similar field.
- Significant experience with freshwater ecosystems, statistical analysis, and field experience.
