Role Summary:
As a Senior Estimator, you will be pivotal in our organization, spearheading the development of precise construction estimates, budgets, and proposals for a diverse array of commercial projects. Your proficiency will steer the estimation process, ensuring accuracy and strategic foresight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct the estimation process for multiple commercial construction initiatives.
- Manage and update a comprehensive cost database.
- Evaluate labor, materials, and time requirements to determine project costs.
- Prepare and assess detailed reports and proposals for clients and stakeholders.
- Craft thorough proposals that include clear information and cost breakdowns.
- Oversee and prioritize various estimation projects, ensuring timely and precise completion.
- Provide expert support and answers to client inquiries throughout the bidding phase.
- Collaborate with project teams and other Senior Estimators to analyze project specifications and drawings.
- Mentor junior estimators, promoting professional growth within the team.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and comprehend complex construction drawings and specifications.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Excel, On-Screen Takeoff, and Estimating Software (e.g., PlanSwift).
- A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in construction estimating.
- A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
