Electrical Estimator Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team at Patrice & Associates - At Your Service Recruiting. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering top-tier services to diverse markets, including commercial, educational, municipal, medical, industrial, and high-tech projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze bid documents and attend pre-bid meetings to define project scope.
  • Conduct accurate takeoffs and quantity assessments.
  • Prepare structured, thorough project estimates.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients and internal teams throughout project lifecycles.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical estimation.
  • Hands-on project management.
  • Experience with medium voltage projects.
  • Background in the electrical field; field experience and electrical license are preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Conest).
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Collaborative team player with a positive, self-motivated attitude.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction practices and methods.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Estimator.
  • Solid understanding of electrical systems, codes, and industry practices.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Conest) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Hands-on project management experience.
  • Field experience or an electrical license is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with a detail-oriented, analytical mindset.
  • Familiarity with BIM and sustainable electrical practices (Preferred).

Additional Skills (Preferred):

  • Professional certifications (e.g., Certified Professional Estimator - CPE).
  • Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.
  • Knowledge of sustainable and energy-efficient electrical practices.
