Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mail Services Associate to join our team at The Millennium Group. As a Mail Services Associate, you will be responsible for handling all materials received in the Mail Center, delivering and picking up materials within and between departments, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle all materials received in the Mail Center, including receiving, reviewing, and processing mail and packages.
  • Deliver and pick up materials within and between departments, including office supplies and copy paper.
  • Inspect deliveries for suspicious or threatening items and report any concerns to management.
  • Operate company vehicles to transport items and provide customer service.
  • Pick up outbound boxes and packages from internal customer locations and sort items into categories according to established methods.
  • Prepare items for processing, shipment, or transportation and enter activity data in logs and maintain records.
  • Ensure all safety procedures are followed at all times and prepare and process outbound courier shipments using computer or service provider's equipment.
  • Ability to cross-train on other roles within the department and perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years mail services related experience preferred, with knowledge of commonly used Office Services procedures.
  • 1-3 years' experience with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, etc.) required.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle mail or hand cart, as well as flatbed.
