About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled RTL Design Engineer to join our team at Apple. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for implementing various blocks of our chip and delivering high-quality components to our SoC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the architecture team to define the design microarchitecture hierarchy and interfaces.
  • Develop microarchitecture specifications and refine them with reviews from other teams.
  • Develop RTL design of one or more blocks following established design guidelines.
  • Own all aspects of RTL development design.
  • Collaborate with other designers in the group to deliver results.
  • Integrate common/shared IP blocks to design and optimize memories/hard macros required for the block.
  • Work with front-end synthesis/STA teams to ensure timing for the block is met.
  • Work with power/performance and functional verification team to ensure high quality of the block.
  • Work with multi-disciplinary groups to ensure designs are delivered on time and with the highest quality.
Requirements
  • A consistent track record of dedication to designing high-volume production for low-power applications.
  • Experience in driving microarchitecture and developing specifications for logic designs.
  • A consistent record of RTL design on large, sophisticated designs.
  • Solid working experience with synthesis, power, performance, and verification teams to develop and deliver high-quality RTL design timely.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, as the candidate will interact with diverse groups within the company.
  • A self-starter, highly motivated, highly organized, and schedule-driven individual.
  • Familiarity with all front-end tools, including lint, CDC, synthesis.
  • Knowledge of high-speed DRAM memory controller design or interconnect design is highly preferable.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of BS + 10 years relevant industry experience.
