Job Summary:

FUTURERECRUIT is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Psychologist to join our team. As a key member of our educational team, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing psychological services to students, staff, and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and Interpret Psychological Assessments: Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of students to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas of need.
  • Develop Educational Activities and Behavior Management Programs: Collaborate with teachers and other educational professionals to develop and implement educational activities and behavior management programs that meet the unique needs of students.
  • Participate in IEP Team Meetings: Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) team meetings to contribute to eligibility determination, placement decisions, IEP development, and program reviews.
  • Provide Counseling Services: Provide individual and group counseling services to students to support their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention services to students, staff, and families to support their well-being and safety.
  • Participate in Prevention and Intervention Programs: Participate in school-based prevention and intervention programs to support student success and well-being.
  • Consultation and Collaboration: Serve as a resource and consultant to students, staff, and parents to support their educational and personal goals.
  • Committee Participation: Participate in committees to support school and school system improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree: A Master's degree in School Psychology or a related field is required.
  • Standard Professional Certificate: A Standard Professional Certificate in School Psychology is required.
  • Endorsement as School Psychologist: Endorsement as a School Psychologist as prescribed in COMAR 13A.12.03.08 or ability to work towards this is required.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of child development, learning theories, and effective teaching techniques is essential. Demonstrated leadership ability, good interpersonal communication skills, and willingness and capability to work beyond the normal workday are also required.
