Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified CNA Instructor and Program Coordinator to join our team at the University of Memphis. As a key member of our Professional and Continuing Education (PACE) department, you will be responsible for teaching and coordinating our Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program.

Responsibilities
  • Teach CNA students in a classroom and clinical setting
  • Supervise CNA clinical experiences and ensure student safety
  • Manage supplies and inventory in a fiscally responsible manner
  • Collaborate with other professionals to deliver high-quality student services
  • Complete all required paperwork, including attendance records and grade sheets
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license with expiration date
  • At least 2 years of experience as a RN, including 1 year of experience working in a nursing home
  • Experience teaching adults, supervising CNAs, or completion of a Train-the-Trainer Class
Special Conditions

The ideal candidate will serve in both roles (Instructor and Program Coordinator) and will be compensated at a rate of $5,000 per 10-week cohort. This position is open until filled, and the department will begin screening applicants on April 5, 2024.
