ROLE SUMMARY
The Branch Operations Manager is tasked with overseeing the daily functions of the branch, ensuring outstanding customer service, and meeting financial goals. This position includes recruiting and managing staff, fostering customer relationships, and developing strategies to enhance productivity and sales performance to achieve financial objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organizing and directing daily branch operations while ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Creating and executing sales strategies to achieve or surpass branch and corporate targets.
- Providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to staff to support their professional growth.
- Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through exceptional service delivery.
- Strategizing for business growth and customer acquisition.
- Addressing customer complaints and resolving issues efficiently.
- Monitoring financial activities of the branch, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to maintain profitability.
- Facilitating communication between branch personnel and upper management, serving as a liaison for concerns and suggestions.
- Overseeing inventory management to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Responsible for the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new team members.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant safety and quality standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in Management or Sales, or a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge and skills.
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in customer service or a related field is advantageous.
- Understanding of sales principles and methods for promoting products or services is essential.
- Knowledge of customer service principles and processes is required.
- Familiarity with raw materials, production processes, quality control, and techniques for effective material processing and distribution is necessary.
- Knowledge of company products and their applications is required.
- Understanding of the metals industry is essential.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively is required.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, are necessary.
- Excellent listening and analytical skills are required.
- Proven leadership and team-building capabilities are essential.
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations is required.
- Ability to make informed decisions based on analysis, knowledge, and experience is necessary.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with colleagues and customers is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software is essential.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position involves sedentary work, requiring the exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. The role primarily involves sitting, with walking and standing required only occasionally.
