Position Summary: As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for welcoming and registering them while ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests with a warm and genuine greeting, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage the registration process by accurately entering guest information into our systems, confirming details such as the number of guests and room rates.
- Handle financial transactions, including credit card authorizations and cash handling, while maintaining an accurate house bank.
- Respond promptly to phone inquiries, taking messages and relaying information to guests as needed.
- Assist guests during check-out, addressing any concerns and ensuring satisfaction with their stay.
- Effectively resolve guest complaints by conducting thorough research and providing appropriate solutions.
- Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure guest needs are met and expectations exceeded.
- Maintain the front desk area, ensuring it is organized and presentable at all times.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong mathematical skills for handling transactions and managing cash.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse guests.
- Ability to stand and move throughout the front office while performing essential job functions.
- Proficiency in using computer systems for data entry and information retrieval.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in hospitality is a plus.
- No specific licenses required; prior experience in hospitality is preferred but not mandatory.
- Multilingual abilities are advantageous.
